Published: A foxy fantasy at Mulberry
Want to inject some English eccentricity into your life? Woodland birds and stuffed foxes in an old-country manor in Mulberry’s autumn campaign make for a quirky British fantasy.
‘Working with Mulberry’s creative director Emma Hill and Vogue UK photographer Tim Walker, set designer Shona Heath mixed live and stuffed foxes with giant bird cut-outs that towered over models Tatiana Cotliar and Julia Saner to reflect the darkly rich and rustic style of Mulberry’s autumn-winter 2011 collection.
Heath said the use of native wildlife was a simple interpretation of the Mulberry brand, but depicting them in hyper-real colours and different textures reflected the prints and colours that inspired the current season.
“We looked at the collection, we looked in depth at the prints and the colours and also Emma’s inspiration for that collection and tried to cook up some sort of environment to best show those off,” she said.’

“With a whole weekend of outfits to plan at Splendour in the Grass, there’s no better inspiration for festival fashion than looking through the archives.
Debbie Harry’s rock-star style would be perfect for moshing in, and as the sun sets over the stage and the temperatures dip, take cue from Anita Pallenberg’s eclectic, glamourous aesthetic and layer with lace, textures and chunky jewellery. “
